Terms of Service

Last updated: June 26, 2026

These terms govern access to and use of the Naucturne site and application. By creating an account, you accept them.

Template to adapt and have reviewed by legal counsel before publishing. Items in brackets [ ] must be completed with your real information.

1.Purpose

Naucturne is a desktop client for file transfer (SFTP, FTP, FTPS, SSH), database management, DNS and Transactional Email Service configuration, with an encrypted vault and team sharing.

These terms define how the service published by [Company name] is accessed and used.

2.Acceptance of the terms

Using the service implies full acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3.Account and access

Creating an account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account.

In particular, your master password encrypts your access and is never transmitted: losing it makes encrypted data unrecoverable. You are solely responsible for it.

4.Free trial and subscription

Each account starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to keep using the application.

The subscription is billed per seat (per active user), based on the chosen plan (Pro or Team) and billing period (monthly or yearly). The seat count can be adjusted from your account.

5.Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Amounts are shown excluding or including taxes depending on the display, and billed in advance for the chosen period.

Seat adjustments during a period are prorated by Stripe.

6.Termination and cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the Stripe customer portal available in your account.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, amounts already paid are not refunded.

7.Acceptable use

You agree to use the service in accordance with the law and not to use it to access systems without authorization, distribute unlawful content or harm the security of third parties.

Any abusive use may result in suspension or termination of the account.

8.Encryption and responsibility

The service relies on end-to-end encryption: we do not have access to your access in plaintext or to your master password.

As a result, we can neither recover a lost master password nor decrypt your data on your behalf. It is up to you to keep your backups and secrets safe.

9.Service availability

We strive to ensure service availability but do not guarantee complete absence of interruption (maintenance, incidents, third-party dependencies).

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

10.Intellectual property

The service, its brand and its content are protected. No rights are granted beyond the right of use conferred by the subscription.

Your data and the content you access through the service remain your property.

11.Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, [Company name] shall not be held liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of business arising from the use of or inability to use the service.

12.Changes to the terms

We may amend these terms. In case of a substantial change, you will be informed. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [country/jurisdiction]. In case of dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, jurisdiction is granted to the courts of [competent venue].
